We had our first Community Work Day of 2019 and it was a tremendous success. Look below at all of the amazing projects that garden members finished as part of our Spring Clean Up. (We forgot to take “before” photos. 🤦♂️)
Carol made a new garden sign using herbs grown in the garden. The front planters have fresh flowers. The front flower bed has edging and liner installed to prevent grass and weed growth. The shed is clean and organized. The lawn mower and edge trimmer are ready for use. The community herb garden is ready for planting. The mini flower bed behind the shed is ready for planting. Soil is cut away to allow the gate to close easily. Paul McConnell’s double plot is weeded, cleaned, partitioned into a single plot for dedication. Paul McConnell’s memorial plot is prepared for buildout. The community space flower bed is ready for edging and liner. The community space flower bed is ready for edging and liner. Thank you to everyone who came! We had one of our largest turnouts for a work day including former members and entire families. Conshohocken Brewing Co donated 2 cases of beer, and we all enjoyed a slice of tomato pie.
We have more Spring Clean Up ahead, so there are more opportunities for you to leave your mark on the garden. Follow us on Facebook for news on all of our garden events.
